Standard II

Design and develop digital-age learning experiences and assessments.

Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the Standards-S.

  • Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity

  • Develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress

  • Customize and personalize learning activities to address students' diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources.

  • Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to information learning and teaching.

Reflections

The standard emphasizes the variety of student learning. Teachers create a digital learning environment curriculum to meet the needs of students with different learning and learning styles. Teachers must create a variety of course activities based according to their different learning styles. Learning evaluation is also an important part. Teachers provide appropriate feedback on students' learning through formative assessment and summative assessment, and adjust the teaching plan according to the assessment results.

The first artifact is a video tutorial I created for WeChat. I detailed showed how to use WeChat by using the mobile phone screen. It is more convenient for students to better understand and use the software. The second artifact is a paper about the comparison of three educational learning theories. Educational learning theories, such as behaviorism, cognitivism and constructivism, have been the educational guides of all forms of education. This article mainly compares the features and relationships of the three major educational theories—behaviorism, cognitivism and constructivism, as well as their reflection on all kinds of teaching modes. This article also discusses the application of these educational theories in education by comparing the three learning theories and enlightenment obtained as well as solutions. The purpose of this study is to discover how to make better use of the three learning theories in education and how to better promote the development of education. The last artifact is a web-based course I have created for IT636. This course is mainly to demonstrate the culture of Chinese festival and traditional Chinese food. I use a variety of technical tools in this course, including YouTube videos, text learning materials, discussion boards, etc. to meet the different learning styles of students. I want to use a variety of learning materials to enrich students' learning content and stimulate students' interest in learning.

Future learning goals

Appropriate evaluation and feedback from teachers is especially important for the learning process of students. In the future, I will use advanced educational techniques to create diverse learning resources to meet the learning needs of students. I will also develop assessment forms suitable for different student learning styles to provide appropriate assessment and feedback to students to promote their learning and development.
