After graduation in 2013, with strong enthusiasm in education, I went to work in Linyi Shangcheng Experimental School and became a primary school English teacher. During the time in Linyi Shangcheng Experimental School, I found that today’s teaching and learning cannot be separated from the Internet, such as daily teaching seminars, lesson plans, and teaching process. Especially in 2015, the English teaching reform in my school made me realize the importance of instructional technology. Because of my outstanding teaching work, I was fortunate to become the group leader in teaching and research group of Grade Two. During the reform of the school, the full use of educational technology in class greatly promoted the English curriculum reform within our school. The online teaching/learning platform we are using has made students more involved in English classes compared to traditional lecture-based classes. Students learned more about the lessons from the online resources that accompanies with their textbook, which enables them to explore English knowledge after class. Teachers were given distance training which also greatly enhanced teachers’ teaching skill. Three years of work and study experience brought me a strong interest in instructional technology. English teachers in my school created an online sharing platform where we shared useful resources for English teaching. Also, we had discussion about our own teaching experience, and received timely feedback from coworkers on how to create a more efficient English class.
