WeChat was created and put into market by Tencent Technology. WeChat is the most popular messaging and social network app in China, which is like Facebook or WhatsApp in America. WeChat is a free instant messaging service application.
WeChat has multiple powerful features. As long as you can connect with Wi-Fi, you can have all of these features--voice chat, group chat, Moments, free call, voice call and video call. You can send text message, voice message and video message to your friends for free. Every user of WeChat has a profile page. You can show text, photos, videos and links of posts or videos on it and you also can comment others.
The app is available on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone platforms.

Who can use it?
WeChat is a popular communication tool in China. Everyone can use it as long as you have an account.
Students can communicate with each other to share learning resources. Teachers can exchange teaching methods and share teaching experience.

How does it work?
The users can use QQ account or mobile phone number to register WeChat account. After registration, if you match your mobile contacts you can find your friends who use the WeChat to add him/her as friends in WeChat. In addition, you can also scan other's WeChat QR code or search WeChat ID to add friends. WeChat has two methods of logging in--mobile version and web version, web version need to use mobile phones to scan QR code to use.
